In this guide: Content lessons from publishing 150 articles in 30 days: why we published daily, what performed best, what did not work, and what we will change.
This month, Hostreta published 150 articles in 30 days — five every day — each with matching Facebook, Instagram, and Reel designs. It was an ambitious experiment in consistency, planning, and repurposing. Here’s what we learned and what we’d recommend to anyone planning a big content push.
Note: this recap focuses on process lessons. For your own content, track real performance data in Google Search Console and GA4 over the following months — SEO results for new articles take time to mature.
Why we published daily
1. Topic coverage
We wanted Hostreta to cover the full journey of a website owner: hosting, WordPress, speed, security, marketing, and monetization. Topic clusters help readers — and search engines — understand our expertise.
2. Internal linking
Publishing related articles close together let us build a strong internal link structure from day one. Weekly recap posts (like the Speed Checklist and Security Audit) connected everything.
3. Social media consistency
Five articles a day meant five ready-made social posts and Reels daily — solving the “what should we post?” problem for the whole month.
4. Momentum
A clear, public goal created accountability.
What performed best (and why we expect it to)
Based on our content strategy and the types of articles that typically perform well in this niche, we’re watching these formats most closely:
On social media, formats with clear hooks and practical tips — short Reels with three points and carousel-style checklists — are the most repeatable.
What didn’t work (or was harder than expected)
- Volume vs depth: five articles a day requires strict prioritization. Some topics deserve deeper original research, screenshots, and testing than a daily schedule allows. We’ll expand the best articles over time.
- Fast-changing details: prices, plan features, and tool capabilities change constantly. We wrote around principles and advised checking current details — but these articles need regular updates.
- Design consistency: without templates, 150 sets of designs would have been impossible. Templates weren’t optional — they were the system.
- Engagement time: publishing is only half the work. Replying to comments and messages needs dedicated time every day.
